Prerequisite: Be a minimum of 18 years old and a United States Citizen or legal resident alien of the United States.
You can enroll in the course without first being certified as a general instructor. However, you cannot be certified as a firearms instructor without first being certified as a general instructor.
Topics Covered:The Instructor Role, Technical Knowledge, VA DCJS Codes and Regulations, Presentation and Application, Range Presence, Range Commands, Semi-Automatic Firing Drills, Revolver Firing Drills, Shotgun Firing Drills and Range Safety.
